The face changers

We all know how drastically make up can change someones face, some more than others and obviously depending on how much you apply.
I have picked out a few products and reasons to why i think these can transform your face the most. Every item of makeup plays their part and products such as eye shadow or lipstick can change your look but it is not necessarily something everyone wears.

The first product i picked out was probably an obvious one because of the whole brow hype at the moment and big brows have never been loved more! We all go through fazes of trying to find the best type of products to fit your brow- pencil, powder, cream and now there is so much more to choose from. I am one for a bold but natural brow because my eyebrows are quite dark and have got shape anyway they just need a bit more volume (do brows have volume?), I have been loving the Illamasqua Brow Cake recently in Gaze, its quite dark so i don't need a lot of product and i just roughly run the creamy powder through them with a Laura Geller angled brush to add a bit more definition. Some times less is more with brows.

I think mascara is a product that makes a massive difference and most make up looks just doesn't look 100% complete with out a coat or two. I did not want to give into the hype and buy the Benefit They're Real mascara but when i got sent it i thought i had to give it a go and.. well I love it! If you were thinking the same as i was, do not hold back go and buy it, my lashes have never looked longer, although i have quite long lashes anyway it just gives it a false lashes effect and you only really need one coat. I am very happy to just wear this by its self when it comes to wearing no makeup.

When i am not wearing a base like foundation or a BB cream i tend to stay away from bronzer/contour as i feel it doesn't have as much to cling on to and doesn't make as big of a impact, although it still works. However with a good base this product transforms your face and works really well on my pale skin as it is quite a light contour, Maybelline Master Sculpt also have a slightly darker shade for you darker skinned guys and gals out there. I was mainly concentrating on the bronzer in this product but i have to give some love to the highlighter side too as it is such a pigmented glowy powder, fab if you are on a budget.

Lastly, I picked concealer(s), you don't always need a foundation to create a flawless base, concealer is just as good and slightly more natural, or if you don't intend on wearing any makeup but feel you look slightly zombie-fied from your sleepless night like me, it works for that too.
Do i need to even tell you what the first concealer is? Collection Lasting Perfection a great must have to cover those imperfections, a slightly less coverage concealer but still one of my favourites is Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer, very creamy light weight concealer that brightens your under eyes from all the moisture.

These are the products i turn to everyday as part of my daily face but also work very well on their own when i only want to wear one product or i am having a good skin day i'll just pop one of these on to give more of a model off duty kind of look.

What face changers do you have in your makeup bag?

Fashion Inspo

Fashion is a very personal thing.

I think a lot of people think they can just take ideas from other people, wear it and call it their own style, which to be honest i think i did to.
If you don't like it, don't wear it because you will be able to tell. It is definitely something that comes with time, it will take you a while to figure out what you are most comfortable in, what looks best on you and so on. I am still not 100% sure what my personal style is yet but i am getting there.

These are a few of my fashion inspirations.

I love Kate Moss' model off  duty style she always has, its really simple and classic. She wears really monochromatic basic pieces but layers them an pairs them with a pair of classy heels or a bold lip colour.

I really like how Fearne cotton styles her clothes too, they are
some times quite similar to Kate Moss' looks but maybe with a bit more colour and she definitely likes to pair different patterns together.

Lastly for celebrities, after loving her as Haley Dunphy i also love her when shes just her normal self Sarah Hyland, i quite like both of her styles on TV and off, she has more of a feminine look than the other two but she still likes to wear a relaxed, classic look too.

I also really like getting inspiration and ideas from bloggers, my favourite looks and biggest inspirations are Lily Melrose, Sammi (beautycrush) and Kailee Mckenzie. I love taking ideas and pieces from their outfits and styles they come up with and put together.

whose your style inspiration?

The all day foundation

This is obviously a big factor when deciding on a foundation, its fab when they all have '12 hour' '24 hour' '18 hour' slapped across the front of the packaging, but do they really last that long?

How do the companies actually test staying power through the day? do they make colleagues stay up for a whole day wearing this foundation? or do they wear it to bed? What do they go by? Do they just apply it to a dummies face and leave it in a office all day and think yep that's 24 hours done? How does it work?!Too many questions, some one enlighten me!

Either way I've decided to write a post on my experience on Foundations with a daily stay guarantee.
I've picked a few foundations out of my collection that claim to last a crazy long time,  to write a type of versus post;
These are all foundations i have wore multiple times and recently wore to jog my memory a little, each have been worn without a primer to see the foundations true potential and i have a variety of high end and high street, so lets see who wins.

Just be aware that obviously we don't all have the same skin so these might vary slightly on your skin but it will give you a rough idea.

First up is my beloved Lancome teint idole 24H foundation. If you have read my previous posts you will know this is like one of my favourite foundations, one of the main reasons is because it does last a very long time, i wouldn't say a full face lasts 24 hour as after about 10 hours it does start to dissolve around the oily areas of my face but this is without powder or a primer, so overall it does a good job as it lasts the day with out slipping and sliding across your face and doesn't stick to any dry patches! if you want a all day stay, i recommend using a powder on top.

So we are now on to high street foundations; Here i have the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation, one of my most used foundations too, i love this foundation as it is quite a dewy finish but still has a good medium coverage to it, for a foundation with more of a glow to it you expect it might be easier for this to fade around your face, but its surprising that it doesn't. It lasts a little less time compared to the Lancome foundation, which is still great for a cheaper high street product it also keeps the radiant look on your skin instead of drying or wearing into a powdery finish.

Lastly i have the the L'Oreal Infallible 24 hour Foundations, here i have both versions of it-
 The Mattifying infallible foundation:
I am not a big fan of this like most people are, due to the fact i don't like matte foundations very much, i can see why people like it though as it is quite a high coverage and it does have a good staying power, although on my skin once it has sunk in it does tend to look like i have a bit too much powder on when i have actually applied none, i think its more of a liquid to powder- finish the reason i stay away from this foundation.

The Stay Fresh infallible foundation: I didn't like this foundation, to be honest i was very disappointed when i bought this a while back, i loved the way this foundation looked on my face as it isn't too dewy but it still gives you this a flawless base, i was disappointed as i felt like it oxidized on my skin once it had settled... little did i know i had picked up a shade TWO shades darker than my skin, god knows why i did that (clearly i wasn't paying no attention) and i continued to apply it on my face as it looked fine at first glance as most foundations do when you first apply them; after removing this foundation multiple times as i could not understand why it had oxidized this much i then realised it was not oxidizing.. i was just very very oblivious to the fact i had bought the wrong shade (silly me, im not stupid i promise). I bought a new shade that matched me but completely forgot how much i loved this product until i started using it again a couple of weeks ago. It gives such a flawless finish, it has a perfect medium coverage and would probably last a whole day on your skin although i am yet to stay awake for 24 hours to try, it just doesn't budge off your skin but is still super easy to blend out and blend other products into, it even has a SPF of 18. This is definitely my winner.. i think maybe even over my Lancome foundation.. aahh did i just say that?! wow commitment.

Thank you for reading, let me know if you have tried these foundations and what you thought.
Also what other foundations claim to last 12-24 hours?

Products i always re-purchase

So this is my first post in a long time, mainly due to being very unmotivated and the fact my computer wasn't allowing me to upload photos to my posts.
But i am back and hoping to be right back on top of things.

I thought i would do this post because its quite an easy one really and had never thought of it until i realised how many products i end up going through.

Collection Lasting Perfection //
One that's slightly obvious but a definite staple, a great concealer especially for under the eyes as the lightest shade is bright enough to highlight but also thick enough to cover.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + //
I wasn't too happy when i first bought this but now i have grown to love it, it is a lovely serum based formula that goes on before your moisturiser, it sinks in quickly and leaves your face slightly matte a feeling very silky. It also doesn't feel greasy which is a plus.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H //
You may have heard me go on too many times about this as i have done a post specifically for this product here. This is one of my favourite high end foundations as the coverage is quite high but it isn't to drying or matte on your skin, so you still have a slight natural glow to your face.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip liner //
I am on about my third one of this.. maybe fourth. It is such a natural rose pink colour, it lasts nice amount of time on your lips and i some times wear this by its self without anything on top, however the only bad things is that the pencil/stick itself doesn't last very long as there isn't alot of product. But at £3.99 you can't complain.

Garnier Mi-cellar water//
all i can say is its one of the best products ive used. It takes all your make up off instantly including eye make up so you don't have to use a seperate product and it leaves your face feeling refreshed.

Nivea Dry Confidence Plus //
To be honest i think i only bought this because it was on offer but the scent is so nice and it lasts all day so i guess it does the job.

Co Lab Dry Shampoo //
I always pick either this dry shampoo or the batiste, like everyone i guess. I prefer this one just a little bit more because i feel like the can lasts a little bit longer and you don't tend to get that white ashy-ness in your hair. as you do with most dry shampoo.

Meals of the week

I was quite excited to right this post as it was something a bit different, but unfortunately my photos haven't wanted to upload and as this is a photo based post, it kind of looses its purpose (the reason i have been a bit distant from blogging recently).

Whilst struggling with uploading, my laptop decided to delete a few photos which is so frustrating, but i decided im still going to upload the photos and post, it will just have to be a short week, sorry guys!

These aren't all main meals some of them were lunches and some were dinners all from one week, and no i don't eat out alot i just thought it would be more interesting if i posted about a week a went for meals a few times.

Gorgeous snacky lunch at Revolution ( a great place to eat) with buttermilk chicken strips- which was so tasty, snack size burgers and homemade sweet potato chips. It was surprisingly healthier than i though.

A quick lunch from Caffe Nero. Tuna and Mozzarella melt panini, can't go wrong with Caffe Nero.

My first ever visit to Wagamamas. So of course i got the all famous Chicken Katsu Curry, which i loved, however i am aware they aren't very good for you. But this isn't a 'Healthy meals of the week'.

And one of my favourites, my mums homemade Moussaka (like a potato lasagna) with veggies and my absolute favourites Sweet potato fries, which i eat with nearly every meal at the moment. These ones or just shop bought but my mum definitely makes them better.

Lastly i made myself a lovely Spinach and ricotta tortelloni as that is my new obsession, placed with tomato and basil sauce on top with peppers and caramelized onions and of course a piece of garlic bread on the side. However the picture did go missing.

I am so sorry guys for the mish mash of a post, i hoped it would be better if i didn't have laptop troubles.

Thank you for reading.

Things you will always find in my bag

If im not mistaken i think i saw Corrie from DizzyBrunette do a post like this and i quite liked it so i thought i would do it a post like it too.

The bag i am using at the moment is the Fiorelli Luella grab medium bag, i have been loving this bag recently, i think its because its cream so it kind of fits in with summer instead of black.

The first thing i always have in my hand bag is a umbrella, it just sits at the bottom of my bag all the time because well, just in case, British weather is very hit and miss so that keeps me safe when the rain strikes.

Palmers cocoa butter hand cream is one thing i always keep in my bag, im not addicted, i don't always use this ( because i don't like stuff on my hands) but when i have dry hands this is always the hand cream i go to.

My portable charger is a must! I always leave the house with a 80% battery or above on my phone which im totally comfortable with, anything lower and i worry how i might cope. I always end up fine but if i end up staying out or going somewhere straight after then i like to know i have it in my bag in case i stay the night, if gives you up to 4/5 extra charges which is plenty.

As i said; i like to make sure my phone is charged if i stay out the night with out taking my full charger, i also like to know im prepared to. This might be quite weird but it has proven very helpful in the past, i like to keep a small makeup bag in my handbag and inside: some ibuprofen for nasty headaches, plasters, a travel toothbrush (in case i end up staying somewhere), a razor (weird but same reason really as the toothbrush) and girly products. It has become a habit now to keep this purse in my bag and it surprisingly doesn't take up much room.

Obviously i have my purse in there to carry money and my cards, it is from new look but i am currently on the look out for a new purse as this one is starting to give in. A long with that i always have my headphones in my handbag too, i say that but ironically i have forgotten them the last few days as they were in my coat pocket. Typical.

I no longer carry my whole makeup bag with me even though is used to be a complete essential but instead of the whole bunch i just carry a concealer and what ever lipstick i decided to wear that day, I say which ever lipstick i was wearing, when really i have about 5 at the bottom of my bag due to being indecisive or just forgetful, they are: Mac Brave, Mac plumful, Mac Mehr, Maybelline color drama in Nudist and Rimmel lasting lipliner in Eastend snob.

Lancome - Teint idole ultra 24h Foundation

When deciding to write this i found it shocking that i hadn't written a post about this product before as its my favourite!

I'll just get straight into talking about the product and hopefully not ramble on.

I find it hard to find a foundation that i use religiously, as there's not one that has me hooked.. until my discovery of this beauty!
I have been using it for about two years now and i have never committed to a foundation this much.

if you like a light weight base, this is not the foundation for you as it has got more of a medium/high coverage; despite that, it has a flawless finish, i mean flawless!
I would say the coverage is similar to Estee Lauder Double Wear (which i have a love-hate relationship with) although this is a lot more of a dewy, hydrating formula, i find, whereas the double wear is on the matte side of things.

The main reason i love this and probably the one factor people want to know most about: the staying power. I can honestly say it doesn't slide around your face, i haven't wore it for a full 24 hours (pfft i need my sleep) but it beat the 12 hour mark. I cant imagine it managing a full 24 hours with out one or two touch ups but it definitely gives it a good go.

Overall it is a great foundation, it doesn't grip to any dry matches i have, and i have alot.  I would advise anyone with oily skin to seal it with a powder because the glowy formula will exaggerate already oily skin a tad without a powder.

This is a great foundation when you want a flawless base; it smoothes out your pores and it covers just about everything

Have you tried it?

lunch date 27.5.15

So after a nice browse of the shops today and i can proudly say i didn't buy any unnecessary things, me and my friend thought we would go for lunch. Edging away from McDonald's for once, we went to Wagamamas! I say that excitedly because i have never been until today.

Obviously we had chicken katsu curry (i don't think i would know what else to pick) and for a first timer, i thoroughly enjoyed it and will be going back. *snaps for Wagamamas*

We then went for a another look around our shopping center as we were both very full before heading to The Slug and Lettuce, which is a pub/bar; i know there s quite a few of them in England but you may of not heard of it. Anyway we headed there for dessert which topped the bloating off, but it was worth it.
I ended up having the waffles with ice-cream and caramel sauce and my friend went for the chocolate 'puddle' it was called, basically chocolate fondant. They both tasted gorgeous and would have them again.

After strolling around in the beautiful weather we decided to stop spending money that i definitely didn't have and head home following are lovely catch up, lunch and relaxing in the sun.

I definitely was i need of it.

what other dishes at Wagamamas are good?

A bloggers bestfriend

I guess you could say its easy being a blogger, but you could only say that if you're not one and probably twice the work if you're a full time one.
It might be hard but its worth it, else i guess there would be no point.

These are a few things that have saved my blogging ass.

Blu tack
Who knew it could be so simple. Ever tried taking photos of a cylinder product eg. nail varnish, hairspray, lip gloss or skincare. It is blooming hard to keep it still and stop it from rolling side to side. It took me about 6 months to realise i could use a tiny piece of blue tack to keep them in place, even better you can get 'invisible' Blu tack, i think they're called glu dots? That will keep everything in place ready for your snaps.

Background
I am one of those people that will take 1,000 photos of the same thing in loads of different places until i get the perfect background. I love photos with cute backgrounds even if they're really simple, probably better, i always used to struggle with this factor because my room is definitely not how i want it to be at the moment so i improvise. You can use pieces of patterned card for a cute beauty products photo background, some stylish bed sheets or even pages out of magazines that give it a little edge.
Fashion photos are a little bit easier, i feel, when it comes to choosing a scenery/background, because you could use anything and make it work some how. A empty field can give it a very simplistic look, same with a bedroom wall, but then a old alleyway can give it a slight edgy look or you could have a nice street view in the background of Paris/London or where ever you happen to be.

Lighting
Lighting is key. Whether it is from your bedroom window or a soft box it really doesn't matter. I always tend to take my pictures in the morning as i don't own photography lighting at the moment, just to give it a natural look.

Content
You have to know what you are going to post. Plan it out a bit so you know which posts going up on what day and what posts you might like to do, even though sometimes some ideas come to me randomly and it ends up being a spare of the moment post, but there's nothing wrong with that.
Like what you post, because if you don't enjoy writing it, its probably going to come across to your readers. If you really love something, write amount and everyone will be able to see you enjoyed it, just keep it casual and put your passion in to your writing.

Little Lush Haul

And by little... i mean very little, does three even count as a haul? ah well.

Firstly i apologise that this post has no photos, i did have some but my laptop decided in didn't want to upload them no matter how many times i tried, but i still really wanted to get this post up. Enjoy.

Anyway, so guys yesterday after telling myself i was going to go to my meeting without going shopping after however i was very naughty and popped into Primark, Wilkos, Boots and last but not least Lush, oh and i bought something from every shop. *Sigh*

Everything i bought was a bit random so i decided just to show you the things i got from Lush.
These products were all new to me so i thought i deserved to give them a try.

Bath Bomb £2.35
So the first one i picked up was 'Space girl' i actually picked this one on Tuesday individually, that's why its photographed on its own because i used it that night. If you like the smell of Palmaviolets then you will love this! It makes you bath go a musky purple colour, the scent is so calming once it is in the bath. Definitely will buy this one again.

Bath bomb £1.95
The next one i mainly picked up because i thought it looked quite cute. Its the 'Ickle baby bot' as you can see it looks like a robot, i cant really make out much of a scent to this one but we will have to see when it goes in the bath as i have not tried this one before.

Bubble bar £3.65
Last and probably least, of the three anyway, 'The green bubbleroon' I am not 100% sure why i picked this up, probably because it looks like a macaroon, which you could split into two and use twice. The scent it not usually what i go for, its very fresh and a little it like green tea, its not really the best scent but its definitely not bad. I guess we will see how it goes once its in the bath.

So overall im quite happy and cant wait to try some new bath bombs as i went off them for a bit.
Let me know any of your favourite lush products!

Thank you

A bad first impression

So the title makes this post sound really negative, but im not bashing products today i promise.
Over the past couple of months i have realised some of the products i am now loving i once used to despise and i think this comes from me judging a product to quickly after trying it probably twice.
I thought i would show you some of the products i had a disliking for.

First up is the Bourjois Bronzing Primer, the first out of these products i purchased. Firstly i hated the smell of this (i still do), its quite sickly but some people love it. Once its on your face though you can barely smell it. Because of the formula: it melts slightly from the warmth of your skin, meaning it is super easy to blend. My problem with this was that i just thought it was way to orange toned for my skin; being a ghost and all, however if you apply a small amount to the hollows of your cheeks and blend out to act as a contour or a base under your bronzer it works really well, it has a lovely velvety texture that helps the rest of your bronzing products glide on nicely.

Philip Kinsley Daily Damage Defence. I was lucky enough to meet one of the ladies who works for Philip Kingsley. She was ever so helpful as she taught me so much i didn't know and corrected us on things we had been told and thought we knew that weren't true. Here is the full scoop. This is definitely a product you don't know you love until you stop using it. It makes my hair so shiny and absolutely tangle free, definitely worth the money.

The first time i tried Maybelline brow drama i was genuinely not happy because i thought i had wasted my money, which i do not like to do. I stuck it out and tried it a few times but for someone who liked big stand out brows, it wasn't for me unfortunately. However i am now into it. I still like a good bold brow but now im liking more of a natural bold brow appose to fully filled in. This product is perfect for that; for one, it matches the colour of my caterpillars perfectly. It slightly tints your brows with out them looking like you have sharpie on your face, it fills them in really nicely and quite naturally but you can build it up if needed and it also gives your brows a little more lift and volume which is great, right?

Last but not least is cream blushes and im talking generally not just about the Rimmel Stay Blushed. Cream blushes can be a scary thing if you can't work them right... which i could not! That is the main reason they are in this post, is because i couldn't really relate to the hype of them, i feel like they are a 'Less is more' kind of product when working with them, especially the ones in more of a squirty tube formula? I am now in love with the concept of them after giving them a few more trials, you definitely need to find your own knack when it comes to cream products... it took me a long time but after that you get such a gorgeous radiant look to your makeup and i think they feel much nicer on your face too.

So this was a bit of a talky one today, hope you don't mind? oh and let me know if you enjoyed it!

Love ya

Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence

Who managed to say that title with out getting tongue twisted?, not me.

Hey guys,

Right, i thought i would do a review type thing on this product as it is a staple in my hair routine.

I was lucky enough to meet one of the ladies who works for Philip Kingsley who goes to companies and events to talk about their products. She was ever so lovely and she definitely taught me alot. She (i say she because i cant quite recall her name, memory like a sieve) thoroughly explained each product, what they did and what hair type they are for, i was informed i had medium hair, although for a very long time i thought it was thin but she explained that's because i have really long hair so it gets weighed down. She taught me alot of things i didn't know and corrected us on lots of things we thought we knew or had been told (e.g it doesn't damage your hair if you wash it every day) and lots of other old wives tales.

At the end we were given the chance to pick a few full size products to take home with us to give a try, obviously i pick the elasticizer set and was really recommended by the lovely lady to try the Daily Damage Defence as i have hip length hair which very easily becomes a mess.

When i first tried the product, honestly i didn't see a difference at all and the same with the next couple of times. This is definitely one of them products you don't know you love until you stop using it. I absolutely love this product, i spritz it in wet hair after slightly towel drying it and it makes it so much softer, it can be applied to dry hair as well; its the biggest life saver when it comes to brushing your hair because once this has sunk in, gliding a brush through your hair becomes so much easier and i am one for getting knotty hair!! Plus it has heat protector in so its a all round winner for me.

Whether you have super long hair, a head full of hair full of knots or you just want a frizz free life, then i highly recommend this product to everyone and while doing all of that it still leaves your hair shiny.

This post is not sponsored i just love this product haha.

Leave any blog post ideas in the comments and i will more then happily do them.

Lots of love

5 Beauty Hacks

Just a few tips and tricks to help you. some of them are pretty obvious, but they a couple of these really help me out, so if it helps jut one person then that's great.

When running low and cant seem to scrape the bottle anymore:
Place your foundation bottle into a bowl of hot water, this will melt the product so its easier to get the last drops out but wont affect the formula.

Cant accurately apply lipstick?:
Apply a small amount of Vaseline on the outer edge of your lips with a cotton bud, then apply on your lips, this will give you a neater edge and stop it from smudging. Then just remove Vaseline with a cotton bud. The same can be done using concealer instead of Vaseline, just apply the concealer after the lipstick to neaten up the edges with a small brush.

Storing nail varnish:
make sure your nail colours are stored in a cool, dry, dark place but most importantly that they are stood up right and not laying down else the elements can separate if its too warm or been lying on its side for too long. ( and you might end up shaking it back t normal for about 5 hours).

Getting the perfect line:
Use a card or some tape to get a really precise eye shadow/eyeliner flick when doing your make up.
It helps give you a guide of where it should be going. TIP- if using tape press on your hand before to erase some stickiness so it doesn't feel your foundation off.

Falsies:
With a cotton bud place it in a very small amount of talcum powder and apply to your eyelash (be careful not to get it in your eyes!!!) before applying your mascara, this will add a little bit more volume!

I hope it helped you!

Race For Life

(not my own photos or video)

23 days, a couple of hours and a lot of minutes.. i will be in a field somewhere running for Cancer Research UK and i know im not the only one! but this isn't just a run ... this is a muddy run, a muddy obstacle course: The Pretty muddy event.

My sister, her friend, my mum and myself have decided to run for Cancer research as millions of people do each year, which is incredible.
We are being sponsored to run a 'pretty muddy course' to raise awareness for this horrid illness many many people suffer from. As much as i would love to donate millions of pounds to millions of charities.. im not quite that rich, but i love to know i am helping, when you get that happy glow for doing a good deed and helping someone.

This is Race For Life, however it has a few details changed. We will be running (im not to sure how far, i think i would regret asking) then whilst running the course having to fight are way through a obstacle course covered in mud and dirt head to toe. I am not a big fan of running or mud but i am more than happy to do it for a good cause, and this definitely is one.

I thought i would share this with you as i know a lot of other people out there will be doing it to, so i just wanted to say well done and good luck!

We have until the 17th of May to raise £150 (each).
If anyone would like to sponsor me for this amazing cause then i would appreciate it sooo much as it could be helping so many people out there..maybe even you!
no matter how small, it all helps.

However if not, Thank you for reading and i hope you will support me and so many other people along the way, whether that's people raising money or people with cancer or any other illness.

Here is the link if anyone would like to make a donation.
(this blog post isn't sponsored i just thought i would share it with you)

Thank you so very much for reading/sponsoring.

Have a nice night.

Fitness

So its the start of the year and everyone seems to be dieting and exercising to get the body they want for this summer. i never really like the concept of dieting because i always cave and buy chocolate or things i shouldn't be, so i much prefer to exercise.

here are a few tips that help me, which are quite obvious but they do really help me to motivate myself to start exercising or recommence:

The right fit.

Trainers are a very important part of exercising because they really help maintain a good posture while working out or running. having a pair of shoes that hurt your feet or aren't comfortable is not going to make you want to work out.
so pick up a pair that have a nice base, maybe for a particular sport or exercise you are doing.. but they have got to be comfortable and maybe in a cute colour too!

Motivation.

Make sure you re doing it because you actually want to and not because everyone else is or you feel like you should. I always tell my self the night before that i am going to exercise in the morning so i know i am prepared instead of just deciding to go for a run and not really being motivated. colourful or cute workout clothes can also motivate you to get in gear and exercise.

Save your pennies.

You don't have to go to the gym and may a monthly fee if you doubt you are going to use it, there is plenty or cheaper ways, like going for a run, doing home exercises or taking your dog for a walk. Just because some one else has got fancy workout gear doesn't mean you need it, there is so many places now that sale really affordable but still attractive gym wear.

Water.

No matter what you are doing though, always remember to drink as much water as you can especially if you are working out (we don't want you fainting) as well as that try to keep a healthy balanced diet because it always helps.

L'occitane shower oil

Oil products are pretty much a no go for me, im just not a big fan of the texture and a lot of the type the scent too, but i cant say the same about this one! The L'occitane shower oil is thicker than your average oil which makes it less of that greasy texture. The scent is probably my favourite thing because it smells of almonds and i am a bit obsessed with almonds.

You just need a couple of pumps to cover your whole body and it can be used as your shower gel or as well as. the one thing this is great for is shaving, if your skin gets quite sensitive or dry while shaving this instantly restores hydration plus its very gentle on the skin.

After washing it off and getting out the shower i can honestly say my skins never felt softer even though my legs and hands have always been bad for loosing moisture really quickly, it still manages to make them super smooth.

This is 500ml so if you wanted to just try it i know they do smaller sizes to give a go before committing to big bottle.

L'Oreal Loves

Hey lovelies,

The first thing i ever bought from L'Oreal was the Lumi Magique primer/base, it was a very long time ago, so back then i wasn't too sure if i could see a difference but i began to love it and now here i am on my third tube, despite it looking small you get quite a lot inside. Its a lovely pearly base with the just the perfect amount of shimmer to brighten up your foundation, some say its similar to Mac strobe cream.

My favourite product from L'Oreal is probably their True Match foundation, it has great coverage, a lovely finish on the skin and there is plenty of shades to choose from, need i say more? yes, It has a really good staying power without clinging to any dry skin like a lot of foundations. It is definitely my favourite high street foundation by far.

The Super Liner by L'Oreal is one f my faves, im not one for big winged eyeliner, so with the small nib on this, it makes it really easy to apply. You could build it up to give a thicker look. the pigmentation is great and it lasts without printing on your eyelids woo!

This is a new one for me as i haven't had it for too long, but any one that knows me or has me on twitter, will know i love Blake Lively (the reason i bought this lipstick) as it is the colour riche Blake's red lipstick. Its so smooth on your lips and its a perfect blue toned red which makes your teeth look pearly white. Its definitely a statement lipstick.

So that is a few of my all time favourites from L'Oreal (not sponsored)
Thank you for reading.

Bourjois Rouge edition Velvet

I decided to do this blog post because as you might know Bourjois have released a new range of the Rouge Edition: Rouge Edition Aqua Laque which i have heard very varied reviews about, so i am now  very skeptical whether i should try one or not.

However, going back to when the Rouge Edition Velvet's  came out i wasn't entirely bothered about buying one although i did due to it being on 3 for 2 (this one being free). It went straight in to the back of my drawers after trying it out...i really disliked it. I didn't like the shade i picked up, the texture or the finish, luckily it was free.

A couple months went by, i was getting rid of some make up, i decided to retry it before throwing it out completely and i have been wearing it none stop since! it will definitely be my spring colour.
The title says it all really, the texture is so smooth and velvety, as for the finish, it is a matte/satin finish so its definitely not drying. The colour is quite a vibrant coral, i was scared it wash me out, as you can see from the photo i am quite pale (picture is without foundation on) but surprisingly it is quite flattering and such a summery colour.
A small amount can be blended in and worn as a light layer on your lips for a wash of colour or can be applied fully (as seen in photo) for the full effect.

Overall i am really loving this lipstick lacquer at the moment. i'll remember not to judge products from first try haha.

Thank you for reading.

Infalliable

I was quite surprised when everyone started talking about the new foundation by L'Oreal - Infallible 24h matte foundation, as i hadn't heard anyone talk about the Fresh look version of this foundation that came out a while back.

so i thought i would do a comparisons/review blog post.

I bought the Infallible fresh look version a while back as it said it was quite high coverage so i decided to try it, after a couple of wears i found i did really like the finish it gave as it was quite dewy and looked light but it covered nearly everything,
I can say it is definitely not 24 hour wear as i have not yet lasted to stay awake 24 hours to see ( nor have i tried to) however it only lasted over half the day anyway, it seemed to all just about stay in place apart from the foundation on my chin that went south, without powder/primer.
Over all it is a lovely high street foundation at £9.99 and im eager to pick another one up to try it out again as i had picked it up in the wrong shade last time (oopsie). Find it here.

For some reason the Infallible matte foundation is a couple pounds cheaper at £6.99 (maybe because its not long came out?) although they are very similar, i found this one for me was quite drying as it is pretty matte so anyone with really oily skin or who likes a really matte finish would love this (as i am all about dewy foundations!),
Again it lasts quite a while throughout the day and as intended, it covers up alot. It doesn't feel as light on the skin as the first foundation did but they are the same type of thickness and consistency. I probably wouldn't buy it again, although its still a good, affordable foundation.. its a no from me when it comes to matte foundations. I prefer to apply this with a sponge. You can find it here.

I recommend you try them both out and let me know what you think!

Festival Attire

Here we are again, its April which means one thing.. the start of spring, heading towards summer and festival season is upon us, which you can probably tell if you have been on twitter as everyone is going crazy about Coachella (you are probably sick of that word!) which i am so sad to say because i am not there :( but i will be one year!

I think as it is one of the biggest festivals going that everyone just tends to express them selves in the outfits while being there, as alot of people do at festivals.

This year there is definitely a mixture of 'Hippy'/'Boho' vibes going about at the moment, which i have to say some of it is a little OTT but when its done right it is gorgeous.

A few pieces that would be great for festivals, worn casual or dressed up.

Left to right - Topshop bardot top £16,  New look jumpsuit £24.99, New-look welly boots £19.99, Boohoo jacket £40, New look kimono/jacket £19.99

Is that really what you want?

This is a strange one really that i had no intention of writing, but as always Emily's blog inspired me to write it.

It is very strange to think that everything that we do could instantly change our lives completely or even without you realising. I know that things i do could instantly change my life like eg. playing the lottery and winning, having children etc. but there is sooo many things we don't think about that could impact on your life whether that being good or bad.. but bad things aren't  always necessarily so awful because after that you could  end up being somewhere wonderful in your life.

I think what it is, is that we all have goals and ambitions..things we crave to do. but if we don't do them it is just a dream in the back of your head or jotted on a piece of scrap paper labeled 'bucket list'.
If you are anything like me there will be some reason none of that stuff gets done whether its because of money issues, travel, no one to go with or subconsciously thinking 'she wont like it if i do that' 'what if this happens' 'im a bit of a scaredy cat' 'i will look like a loner'  but if its going to make you happy then why not do it because after that, it could motivate you to do everything you've ever wanted to do (and you want that right?).

imagine worrying about what everyone else thinks, or what they are doing and who they are with.. does that make you happy? of course it doesn't because they have probably over exaggerated or made it look great with their fancy photos on instagram and Facebook, i mean come on you don't want to show everyone the rubbish parts of your life, right? exactly, no one does, so they don't.
So unless its going to motivate you or inspire you then ignore them because not even celebrities have the most amazing lives ever.

Forget what everyone else thinks because it is your life, so do what is going to make you happy, unless it is dangerous and harmful to you or someone else then id strongly advise you not to.
if you want to de-friend someone because they are making you unhappy, do it! you want to travel the world? do it! you really  want to take a course that mum doesn't think its suitable, do it!

you learn from your mistakes right?

This was a massive ramble and honestly im not sure what the purpose was, i think it was just a life lesson to myself really haha, but if it helps anyone then that's great.

Let's talk face masks

It has been such a long time since ive found a good face mask that i can use a lot, so ive been testing a few out and here's what i think.

I'll start off with the Balance me radiance face mask, this is a cream mask with little beads in in to help exfoliate as. It claims to soothe, polish and hydrate. It definitely does hydrate your skin as it is cream based but i didn't feel it added any radiance to my skin.

Next up i have the Clarins Hydra Quench cream mask which i do really love, i use this when i feel my skins having a really dry day or if i know my make up needs to look especially good the next morning. It is super hydrating as the name gives away.

Again i have a cream mask (sorry guys, its just a coincidence) Its the Sisley Black rose cream mask, This is a lovely mask that gives your skin such a glow when the mask is once off, all the nutrients really sinks in leaving your face so hydrated. Similar to the Sisley black rose facial oil! You probably noticed i only had a sachet of this, it is my last one as i had quite a few, its a great product but i don't think i am ready to spend £95.50 on the full size.

I have left my favourite till last, this is kind of a 3 in 1. Garnier Pure 3 in 1 wash, scrub and mask. This is more of clay/cream mask with Pumice exfoliator in it. Once you have left this on for a good 10 minutes it hardens into more of a clay form and after taking it off with warm water my skin has felt soften then ever!! it really works, plus for anyone that has spot prone skin it has salicylic acid in to get rid of those nastys. Good old Garnier.

When it comes to Blogging

It is one thing to want to start a blog but its another wanting to write blog posts.
At some point we all go through that 'can i be bothered' phase to the point where we have no inspiration or motivation i think i went through it about a week or two ago.

All i can say is if you are at that point then stop blogging (that sounds awful) obviously not forever. Just stop, put your laptop away and go and do something fun to take your mind off it, because even if you want to write a post it doesn't mean you are in the right mindset to do so.. i sit here for ages wanting to write but nothing would come out and i was just staring at a blank page.

A lot of the time when you force yourself to do something its not to the best of your ability so take your time.. an hour, a day, a week, it will come to you to.

Inspiration.

A good way i find to get more ideas and focus, is looking through other peoples blogs, you can always collect little things from other people and make it your own (that doesn't mean you are cheating). Go into the zone where you get your best ideas.

Focus.

Get focused, the worst thing is being distracted, come back to it if you have to. Focus on the parts you love most about blogging the pictures, the writing, the interacting. So get your camera and go out maybe and start taking photos of everything then the blog post might come to you instead. Flicking through magazines, scrolling through instagram and bloglovin' also help.

you will find away.

Spring // 3 Lip options

Here's a few colours that would spruce up your look with a bit of colour and add a spring/summer feel to your look. I don't think this camera does the colours justice!

Left

This is Revlon's Color burst matte balm in audacious. As you can see its a gorgeous orange/coral colour which really brings out blue eyes (i think that's why i love it) the matte balms are soo smooth and silky, they are slightly like a lip stain so they do last a while. PLUS they smell minty!

Middle

Brazen berry pure gloss by Estee Lauder. if you know me you will know i hate gloss because i am definitely a matte lipstick girl, i don't like the 'wet' look and the stickiness you can get with some glosses.. no thank-you. BUT this gloss recently has changed me (soo dramatic) im in love with the texture, it looks lovely on the lips and its my kind of colour with no shimmer! I have paired this with 'Mac Brave' as you will see in my favourites here.

Right

It wouldn't be right if i didn't include a mac lipstick. So here is Plumful by mac a gorgeous pinky/plum colour which isn't too bright but not to dark for spring. This is a  Lustre finish so again is a glossy look which as i said im not a big fan of but have been loving recently thanks to Emily as she wore it in a video.
