lunch date 27.5.15

So after a nice browse of the shops today and i can proudly say i didn't buy any unnecessary things, me and my friend thought we would go for lunch. Edging away from McDonald's for once, we went to Wagamamas! I say that excitedly because i have never been until today.

Obviously we had chicken katsu curry (i don't think i would know what else to pick) and for a first timer, i thoroughly enjoyed it and will be going back. *snaps for Wagamamas*

We then went for a another look around our shopping center as we were both very full before heading to The Slug and Lettuce, which is a pub/bar; i know there s quite a few of them in England but you may of not heard of it. Anyway we headed there for dessert which topped the bloating off, but it was worth it.
I ended up having the waffles with ice-cream and caramel sauce and my friend went for the chocolate 'puddle' it was called, basically chocolate fondant. They both tasted gorgeous and would have them again.

After strolling around in the beautiful weather we decided to stop spending money that i definitely didn't have and head home following are lovely catch up, lunch and relaxing in the sun.

I definitely was i need of it.

what other dishes at Wagamamas are good?

A bloggers bestfriend

I guess you could say its easy being a blogger, but you could only say that if you're not one and probably twice the work if you're a full time one.
It might be hard but its worth it, else i guess there would be no point.

These are a few things that have saved my blogging ass.

Blu tack
Who knew it could be so simple. Ever tried taking photos of a cylinder product eg. nail varnish, hairspray, lip gloss or skincare. It is blooming hard to keep it still and stop it from rolling side to side. It took me about 6 months to realise i could use a tiny piece of blue tack to keep them in place, even better you can get 'invisible' Blu tack, i think they're called glu dots? That will keep everything in place ready for your snaps.

Background
I am one of those people that will take 1,000 photos of the same thing in loads of different places until i get the perfect background. I love photos with cute backgrounds even if they're really simple, probably better, i always used to struggle with this factor because my room is definitely not how i want it to be at the moment so i improvise. You can use pieces of patterned card for a cute beauty products photo background, some stylish bed sheets or even pages out of magazines that give it a little edge.
Fashion photos are a little bit easier, i feel, when it comes to choosing a scenery/background, because you could use anything and make it work some how. A empty field can give it a very simplistic look, same with a bedroom wall, but then a old alleyway can give it a slight edgy look or you could have a nice street view in the background of Paris/London or where ever you happen to be.

Lighting
Lighting is key. Whether it is from your bedroom window or a soft box it really doesn't matter. I always tend to take my pictures in the morning as i don't own photography lighting at the moment, just to give it a natural look.

Content
You have to know what you are going to post. Plan it out a bit so you know which posts going up on what day and what posts you might like to do, even though sometimes some ideas come to me randomly and it ends up being a spare of the moment post, but there's nothing wrong with that.
Like what you post, because if you don't enjoy writing it, its probably going to come across to your readers. If you really love something, write amount and everyone will be able to see you enjoyed it, just keep it casual and put your passion in to your writing.

Little Lush Haul

And by little... i mean very little, does three even count as a haul? ah well.

Firstly i apologise that this post has no photos, i did have some but my laptop decided in didn't want to upload them no matter how many times i tried, but i still really wanted to get this post up. Enjoy.

Anyway, so guys yesterday after telling myself i was going to go to my meeting without going shopping after however i was very naughty and popped into Primark, Wilkos, Boots and last but not least Lush, oh and i bought something from every shop. *Sigh*

Everything i bought was a bit random so i decided just to show you the things i got from Lush.
These products were all new to me so i thought i deserved to give them a try.

Bath Bomb £2.35
So the first one i picked up was 'Space girl' i actually picked this one on Tuesday individually, that's why its photographed on its own because i used it that night. If you like the smell of Palmaviolets then you will love this! It makes you bath go a musky purple colour, the scent is so calming once it is in the bath. Definitely will buy this one again.

Bath bomb £1.95
The next one i mainly picked up because i thought it looked quite cute. Its the 'Ickle baby bot' as you can see it looks like a robot, i cant really make out much of a scent to this one but we will have to see when it goes in the bath as i have not tried this one before.

Bubble bar £3.65
Last and probably least, of the three anyway, 'The green bubbleroon' I am not 100% sure why i picked this up, probably because it looks like a macaroon, which you could split into two and use twice. The scent it not usually what i go for, its very fresh and a little it like green tea, its not really the best scent but its definitely not bad. I guess we will see how it goes once its in the bath.

So overall im quite happy and cant wait to try some new bath bombs as i went off them for a bit.
Let me know any of your favourite lush products!

Thank you

A bad first impression

So the title makes this post sound really negative, but im not bashing products today i promise.
Over the past couple of months i have realised some of the products i am now loving i once used to despise and i think this comes from me judging a product to quickly after trying it probably twice.
I thought i would show you some of the products i had a disliking for.

First up is the Bourjois Bronzing Primer, the first out of these products i purchased. Firstly i hated the smell of this (i still do), its quite sickly but some people love it. Once its on your face though you can barely smell it. Because of the formula: it melts slightly from the warmth of your skin, meaning it is super easy to blend. My problem with this was that i just thought it was way to orange toned for my skin; being a ghost and all, however if you apply a small amount to the hollows of your cheeks and blend out to act as a contour or a base under your bronzer it works really well, it has a lovely velvety texture that helps the rest of your bronzing products glide on nicely.

Philip Kinsley Daily Damage Defence. I was lucky enough to meet one of the ladies who works for Philip Kingsley. She was ever so helpful as she taught me so much i didn't know and corrected us on things we had been told and thought we knew that weren't true. Here is the full scoop. This is definitely a product you don't know you love until you stop using it. It makes my hair so shiny and absolutely tangle free, definitely worth the money.

The first time i tried Maybelline brow drama i was genuinely not happy because i thought i had wasted my money, which i do not like to do. I stuck it out and tried it a few times but for someone who liked big stand out brows, it wasn't for me unfortunately. However i am now into it. I still like a good bold brow but now im liking more of a natural bold brow appose to fully filled in. This product is perfect for that; for one, it matches the colour of my caterpillars perfectly. It slightly tints your brows with out them looking like you have sharpie on your face, it fills them in really nicely and quite naturally but you can build it up if needed and it also gives your brows a little more lift and volume which is great, right?

Last but not least is cream blushes and im talking generally not just about the Rimmel Stay Blushed. Cream blushes can be a scary thing if you can't work them right... which i could not! That is the main reason they are in this post, is because i couldn't really relate to the hype of them, i feel like they are a 'Less is more' kind of product when working with them, especially the ones in more of a squirty tube formula? I am now in love with the concept of them after giving them a few more trials, you definitely need to find your own knack when it comes to cream products... it took me a long time but after that you get such a gorgeous radiant look to your makeup and i think they feel much nicer on your face too.

So this was a bit of a talky one today, hope you don't mind? oh and let me know if you enjoyed it!

Love ya

Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence

Who managed to say that title with out getting tongue twisted?, not me.

Hey guys,

Right, i thought i would do a review type thing on this product as it is a staple in my hair routine.

I was lucky enough to meet one of the ladies who works for Philip Kingsley who goes to companies and events to talk about their products. She was ever so lovely and she definitely taught me alot. She (i say she because i cant quite recall her name, memory like a sieve) thoroughly explained each product, what they did and what hair type they are for, i was informed i had medium hair, although for a very long time i thought it was thin but she explained that's because i have really long hair so it gets weighed down. She taught me alot of things i didn't know and corrected us on lots of things we thought we knew or had been told (e.g it doesn't damage your hair if you wash it every day) and lots of other old wives tales.

At the end we were given the chance to pick a few full size products to take home with us to give a try, obviously i pick the elasticizer set and was really recommended by the lovely lady to try the Daily Damage Defence as i have hip length hair which very easily becomes a mess.

When i first tried the product, honestly i didn't see a difference at all and the same with the next couple of times. This is definitely one of them products you don't know you love until you stop using it. I absolutely love this product, i spritz it in wet hair after slightly towel drying it and it makes it so much softer, it can be applied to dry hair as well; its the biggest life saver when it comes to brushing your hair because once this has sunk in, gliding a brush through your hair becomes so much easier and i am one for getting knotty hair!! Plus it has heat protector in so its a all round winner for me.

Whether you have super long hair, a head full of hair full of knots or you just want a frizz free life, then i highly recommend this product to everyone and while doing all of that it still leaves your hair shiny.

This post is not sponsored i just love this product haha.

Leave any blog post ideas in the comments and i will more then happily do them.

Lots of love
