Something about a fragrance

La Petite Robe Noire EDP - Guerlain

For a while now i have been debating whether i loved this perfume or not, i knew i liked it but enough to buy it? i don't know, i bought it regardless as the set was half price at work, after trying to make a decision whether to return it or not i just had to have a spray and i came to terms with the fact i was definitely keeping it as i do love this perfume.

The perfume its self is nothing like the original, it still has that fruitiness to it but its not as sweet as the eau de toilette, this has more of a musky scent as a base which forms it into quite a sexy fragrance but still has that kick with various berries and the firm beautiful black notes of perfumery.

you can definitely pick out the black cherry as it leaves the bottle, mixed with black tea and a hint of almond to give it that seduction we all want.

For around £66 it is well worth the pennies as it truly lasts on the skin and you don't need to go drowning yourself in it as one or two squirts is enough to keep your going.

This is one perfume i do not regret buying and is now a favorite of mine.

let me know your favourite perfume?

Kiko haul

Recently I have been looking for some new products and after my first Kiko purchase in London i couldn't resist going on line to order a few more bits, PLUS they have a few really good sale items at the mo.

I wasn't going to go over board so i just bought a few things:

Long Lasting Stick- 21 passion fruit/ 37 burgundy
I already have one of these which I love so when i saw the dark burgundy eye shadow stick i had to add it to my basket. These last really long on your lid and apply really easily.

Infinity eye shadow- 203/ 207/ 208
I wanted some more single shadows being as most of mine are in palettes, so i order 3 new ones ( i think two of these were down to £3) these eye shadows are really pigmented and they are quite big so you get quite a bit for your money, i also bought the palette to put them in.

Lastly i bought a lipstick, i had trouble deciding which lipstick to have, but now i wish i had chose the other one because this one is a pinky nude colour but way to pale for my skin so makes me look a tad ghostly but it would suit darker/tanned skin. The formula and texture is great i'm just disappointed with the colour as it looked darker online.

My skincare routine

So I have a whole new skincare routine being as I've never really had set products that I always go to; I thought I would try to find some. So here I am with my daily products!

Clarins intense eye makeup remover-
It does 100% of what it says: takes off  heavy eye make up and waterproof with out having to pull every eyelash out while doing it.

Emma Hardie moringa cleansing balm-
I swear by this cleanser! This is definitely a product I will keep on buying. My skin has honestly been the softest its ever been, it definitely does its job and takes off every bit of my makeup. I just apply a bit o my face and then remover with a cloth and warm water, until clean.

I often use a scrub every other couple of days after i cleanse but i don't have a specific exfoliator that i use, i tend to switch between a couple depending on my skin that day.

the origins ginzin moisturizer-
I then take my moisturiser, I must say this is a good face cream but the smell just makes this above any other. It is definitely a water based face cream, it is very hydrating.

If I feel like I need a little extra hydration I go to the Clarins hydra-quench which is slightly thicker and i tend to use this as a night cream because although my T-zone can get quite oily my skin can still be really dehydrated.

so that is basically what i do to my skin everyday to take my makeup off, nothing too complicated just a simple routine. let me know what products you like to use?

Favourite new-year purchases

So over the last 2 weeks of December and the start of January I have been purchasing a few things that I have had my eye on! So I thought I would share them with you:

Number one has got to be Charlotte Tilbury matte revolution lipstick in Love Liberty. I was originally after Glastonbury but when I got to the counter I fell in love with this one. It is so creamy and lasts so long, its great despite me dropping it in my cup of tea the other day (I nearly cried) and not to mention the Lush rose gold packaging.

To match I got a Kiko lip pencil in 309.
After hearing gabby from Velvetgh0st rave about there liners I picked one up not knowing it was the same shade as my lipstick.

While I was there I found a dupe: Long Lasting stick for eyes in 21, for cliniques chubby eye stick in amble amber that I've been wanting for ages, the kiko stick is a champagne orange colour which will really make my blue eyes stand out.

Philip Kingsley daily defence is one of my last purchases which the Philip Kingsley assistant helped me to pick, this has worked wonders on my hair to detangle it as i have such long hair and made i super soft.

Then i finally i ordered the Illamasqua brow cake in gaze (i keeping calling it anastasia instead oops), as i have been using the same brow product for ages. This product isn't to harsh on the brows but enough to define them, which i love.

What have you bought in the new year?

Beauty's best friend

Everyone wants that flawless base to their makeup and after so long its now so much easier but there is so many different ways to achieve it!
My favourite tool at the moment is the Real Techniques spin on the 'beauty blender.
It is such a flawless way to blend out your foundation/concealer or any cream products I guess! It leaves such a radiant finish but still looks natural.
I have been using this mostly for my concealer to erase any harsh lines, as it has a smaller pointed end that fits nicely around your nose and under your eyes but it also has a flat edge for wider surfaces.
At 1/3 of the price of the beauty blender it comes very high up there, quality wise.. maybe even better, but its definitely worth it for under a tenner!
What do you use to apply foundation/concealer?

Foundation for a fiver

I have experimented with numerous foundations trying to find a good high street foundation that does the job, I found a few that I liked, but one that definitely surprised me.

The MUA undress your skin illuminating foundation. For only £5 it does a very good job. I slightly disagree with the illuminating bit, it has more of a matte finishing on my skin, i guess it depends what type of sin type you have, but
It is a winner for those who like a high coverage foundation as it has a thick consistency and surprisingly it lasts a while and that was without powder.

This would be a good purchase for someone that like experimenting with products or someone who likes a fuller coverage but doesn't want to be paying Laura Mercier prices.

5 fave A/W polishes

As winter is creeping up on us, everything is getting darker including our nail colours.
So I thought I would share my five favourite at the moment.

I have had this one for a while but it is one of my favourite colours.
 Barry m - berry cosmo.

A lovely dark teal blue colour by Color Club - Glossy seal.

Three I have recently picked up but love. Maybelline Color Show.
A classic white for a all black or monochrome outfit - Winter baby.

Everyone needs a black nail varnish try - black to basics.

Last but not least my favourite, autumn turquoise colour - Urban turquoise.

I am now a very big fan of the Color show nail varnishes.
